One day, I dropped my cousin off at Miri Sentral and stopped by Flavo Cafe Rumah Dayak for lunch. This restaurant features local Sarawakian Dayak cuisine and it is conveniently located at the opposite of the new bus terminal within walking distance.

The shop ambience was dark and moody with its dim lighting and industrial interior design.
Chinese New Year decorations brought a pop of colour at the bar cum front counter. I also spotted handwritten menus and music posters hung on the top steel rack. I find it pleasing to see the shop are well kept and organised.
After having my order taken, the waitress served my iced Bunga Telang Special Gula Melaka drink. Initially, I was attracted by the bluish purple layer of the Bunga Telang. Overall, it is refreshing and sweet from the Gula Melaka.
For my main, I ordered the Nasi Goreng Daun Ubi Special with Daging Masak Hitam. The beef was tender and sweet. The Daun Ubi is a little raw to my liking but it was a pleasant meal.
I also ordered Umai Ikan, also known as raw fish salad, as my side dish. The fish slices was well cured with onions and lime juice. And it brought a spicy and sour kick to my meal.
