The Koptiam in Miri is a local coffee shop with Malay and Kopitiam food. It serves local favorites with a twist.

The interior had seating arrangements of twos and fours and had paintings on the wall.
For my meal, I ordered lalapan ayam goreng which was fried chicken served with simple side dishes including freshly cut veggies, rice and crisps.
To pair with that, I got ice salted coffee. It had a rich coffee flavour with a nice rock salted taste giving it dimension.
Menu
They had an extensive roti/bread menu covering all the well loved bread options to pair with the curries.
Next was the Laksa, pan mee, goreng and wantan menu which had popular starter dishes including seafood laksa, chili pan-mee, mee goreng and wantan soup.
For nasi goreng and lemak, the menu offered quiet a range- simple dish with twists with ayam, sotong, chicken and more. Their snacks meny had western options to pair with other dishes.
Next few sections were for more fuller dishes like rice, lalapan, nasi gepuk which included buttermilk rice, Masi kari ayam, shrimp rice, lalapan ayam goreng, lalapan ayam bakar, lalapan tilapia, super lalapan, nasi goreng udang and tilapia.
For more snacks options the menu had burgers and popular kids menu with snacks.
For their Western food menu, they offered popular dishes both to pair with other meal or just fuller meals like fish n’ chips, creamy mushroom grilled chicken chop, golden crispy chicken etc.
Their beverage menu was the star with artisanal drinks options including Roasted white coffee, kopi, teh, Milo, susu, honey tea and lemon tea.
Other specials were special coffees, bandung, jagung along with canned drinks options like chrysanthemum tea and soya milk.
They also had more unique options like butter kopi, kopi cream cloud, teh tarik cheese to enjoy with your meals.
