Since I was staying at the Pullman Miri Waterfront, I decided to go and check out the gym and swimming pool. I had heard that the hotel had an infinity pool on the roof and I couldn’t wait to see it.

Swimming Pool, Gym and Ballrooms of Pullman Hotel Miri
I took the elevator up to the roof. The buttons were labelled with the places that the guests needed to go. So it wasn’t a problem finding the swimming pool on level 7.
I stepped out onto the open area around the pool and was very impressed.
Since it was an infinity pool, it gave the feeling that it was dropping away into the sky.
The view was stunning! So many trees were visible and the waterfront could be seen in the distance.
Comfortable sun loungers sat along the sides of the swimming pool, covered by towels.
The water looked so blue that I felt like taking a dip at once.
A covered seating area gave some relief from the sun.
There was a shallow pool with steps leading down into the water on one side.
This side of the roof and swimming pool area had views of the city.
A little garden with lots of tropical plants and flagstones added greenery.
A Jacuzzi had been built in one corner.
The water bubbled and gushed and I was sure it would feel very pleasant.
At the moment, the pool and Jacuzzi were both empty. But I was sure that during peak hours, the whole area would be filled with guests.
Just because of the view at the Pullman Miri Waterfront, this swimming pool might have been the most beautiful that I had ever seen.
Then I headed towards the gym, which offered a lot of services and amenities.
The fully equipped gym was open 24 hours and guests could visit whenever they wanted. They also had personal training and group classes.
The name was Express Fitness 24/7.
The first things that I saw were the rows of dumbbells of all sizes and weights.
A weight lifting bench had a nice reclining seat.
Barbells weighing up to 30 kg and a number of kettlebells sat in one corner.
There were also huge mirrors around the gym. People could watch their form while lifting or exercising. It was one of the best equipped gyms that I had ever seen. Hotel gyms didn’t usually have so much strength training equipment.
All the equipment had also been taken good care of and was in excellent condition.
Extra weights could easily be fit onto the bars.
The training benches had smooth leather seats that could be wiped down after each session.
The gym was also quite empty at the moment.
I decided to walk around and take pictures of everything.
Some of the equipment had images at the top so I knew how they should be used.
I thought that the gym put more emphasis on arm workouts and strength training than cardio.
But I did like the number of exercise balls that had been piled on one side.
There was a great view of the pool area from inside the gym.
Exercise bikes, elliptical cross trainers and treadmills stood side by side.
The gym itself was quite spacious and the large mirrors made it look even more spacious.
All the cardio equipment had screens at the front.
The treadmill moved very smoothly.
There was even a stair stepper.
Even the screens in front had motivational messages on them.
I really liked the look of the gym.
Ballrooms
There were several ballrooms at the Pullman Miri Waterfront.
The ballrooms were filled with tables and chairs.
They even had screens in front for presentations.
