The Rainforest Café Miri is a “old” Chinese restaurant that already existed for more than 10 years. I still remember the restaurant was my family “default” choice each we were looking for Chinese food in Miri City. This time, I welcomed my friend from KL and he wanted to try something that more local in Miri, and I brought him here to have some local Miri Chinese foods.
Location: 49, Jalan Brooke, 98000 Miri, Sarawak
Operating Hours: Everyday, 10:30 am–2:30 pm and 5:30 pm–10 pm
Rainforest Café Miri (喜來登)
The first thing I ordered was Philippine style pork leg which came with a chilli sauce. It had a crispy and sweet and spicy crust with soft and tender pork.
Next I got the money cat fried egg, which was a soft scrambled with leafy money cai that paired really well with the pork. The egg was soft and the money cai was nice.
The last thing I got was braised tofu which came in a smooth, spicy sauce with a soft texture that paired well with rice. It looked simple but turned out to be a very comforting and balanced dish.
