Muara Restaurant Imperial Miri: Local Cuisine
The layout was simple and there were two floors for sitting.
They had wooden flooring and sitting which gave the place a comfortable look.
I first ordered a lalapan tilapia which was a crispy fried fish with veggies and a spicy sauce to go with it.
To pair with that, I got sup tulang. It was a bone broth soup, rich with collagen with veggies in it for crunch. It was light, savoury and hearty.
Menu
The lalapan menu was very unique including options like Ayam Bakar, lambing, tenggiri, Bawal and udang.
The rice menu had nasi goreng and goreng section which had baisa, telur, seafood and more variety for toppings.
Next was the spicy section which featured Kari, Asam Pedas and Tom Yam which was meat in spicy curries.
The next few sections included the ala-cart menu to add items to your dishes; buttermilk and sambal; Sayur and also the Soup menu which looked really delicious for a fuller meal.
The drinks menu had something for everyone- be it tea, coffee, canned drinks or fresh juices.
Next was the meat menu with separate section for each meat.
Starting with lamb, it had kung-pao, black-pepper, Hong Kong sauce and curry varient.
The chicken menu was simple but covered all bases: be it fresh lemon, sweet and sour sauce, shredded in salad or served with simple salted eggs.
The squid menu featured boiled or fried squid with salted eggs, in curry, black pepper, salad, sambal and rice.
There was also a tofu and vegetable section with stir fried veggies and tofu.
Next in menu was seafood: Prawns, Crab and Clam. The variety included salted eggs, black pepper, sambal, rice, curry, kam heong and serai kecap.
Their fish section also looked very tempting with fish and fish fillet options. They had fish covered in various dressings like soy sauce, tom Yam, sweet and sour, ginger onion and more.
The menu also offered delicious razor clams in curry, salted eggs, sweet and sour and Hong Kong sauce. A local hearty delicacy to enjoy in seafood.
Lastly, there was Soup to perfectly pair with your meals. They had both vegetarian and non vegetarian options for it.
