M Kopitiam Miri – Kopi & Roti (Menu)
The shop transported me back in time with their Nanyang style decors. Posters of their signature dishes lined one side of the shop walls, and household items from the past adds to the nostalgic feeling. I also spotted an infographic poster that explains how to “Know Your Kopi”. The shop owners must really love their coffee that they even hang a ” I love Coffee” sign.
Round marble table tops and dark wooden chairs were occupied with customers who enjoy their meals. And the shop looks clean and spacious with their high ceilings and well lit environment.
After taking my seat, I ordered a glass of iced barley drink as my starter. The waiter also placed a yellow tin mug with hot water to rinse my cutlery. The sweetness from the barley drink helps cool down my body from the hot weather of Miri.
Not long after, my food has arrived. I ordered a plate of Singapore style Fried Beehoon. The aroma from the spices and the tanginess from the lime made the dish so yummy for me.
To complete my brunch, I added on a plate of fried chicken dumplings. Dipping the crunchy dumpling skin into the sweet and spicy sauce truly elevates the taste and it is yummy.

M Ko Pi Tiam Chef’s Signature menu includes Nasi Lemak M, “Sibeh Shiok” Mee Siam, Curry Lava Egg Toast, Kopi Gu You, Hainan Toast with egg and Kopi or Tea, and lastly Teh C Cincau. All takeaways food will be charged an extra RM0.30 for the packaging.
There are also newly launched menu such as Mee Jawa M and Nasi Ayam Gerpek Sambal Hijau.
Sarawak Laksa, Curry Noodle Kahwin and Kolok Kolok M are some of the recommended items from the Noodles Mee menu. Other must try foods includes a variety of toasts and “Wok Hei” Goreng-goreng Series.
Besides that, M Ko Pi Tiam also offers a variety of rice dishes such as Salad Chicken Chop with Fried Egg rice, Sweet and Sour Chicken with Fried Egg rice, Soy Sauce Minced Chicken with Fried Egg rice, Butter Curry Chicken with Fried Egg rice and also the Signature Nasi Pandan series.
Tea Break menu at M Ko Pi Tiam includes Hainan Roti, Thick Toasts, Buns and Snacks.
As for the beverage menu, you can find local favourite drinks like Kopi, Teh and Milo. Homemade drink and can drinks are also available.
For the adventurous foodie, give the M KO series a try where there are special menu items like M KO Peng, M KO Curry Lava Egg Toast, M KO 2 in 1 Donut, M KO Ibumie Special and Nasi Volcano.
