I Love Chinese Food Restaurant Miri 爱上中国菜
It displayed tanks of live fishes ready to be served.
First, I ordered the black bean soup with lotus root which came in a generous serving.
Next I got the spicy fried pork intestines along with spinach soup.
For main course, I ordered sweet & sour sliced fish and fried pork belly which was hot and crunchy.
Menu of I Love Chinese Food Restaurant Miri
The Menu was unique, displaying live fishes like Tiger Grouper, Saba and other Shellfish and the cooking method like steamed, grilled or sashimi.
Other seafood options included Bullfrog, Oysters, Clams, Tilapia, Crab and Conches.
Other seafood included Shrimps, Sea Snails and Eel in kung bao, fried, blanched and boiled variants.
The menu included Roasted dishes like Lamb, Mutton, Beijing Duck and Suckling Pig.
The soup section displayed with veges, pork and shrimp meats in black bean, seaweed, wakame and winter melon soups.
The marinated spicy pickles menu included vegetables, pork, century egg, beef and tofu covered in spicy marinate.
The seafood Sichuan selection offered dishes like sauerkraut fish soup, fish, grilled fish and boiled pork.
Along with seafood, the menu offered a broad variety of chicken too in Sichuan, drypot, claypot, lemongrass, etc. choices.
They also offered beef options in deep fried and braised variants.
The menu covered a bit of everything ranging from cuts of lamb, pork and even pig tongue topped with various sauces.
There was a page dedicated to spicy prawn dishes which looked very lip smacking.
The menu also showed bold Sichuan flavours and homestyle-stir-fries dishes like mapo tofu and hot pot. Along with that, heavier pork dishes also caught my attention.
Other lighter options like stir-fried cabbage, long bean and egg fried corn to balance the heavy dishes.
The sides and fried sections featured fried/steamed greens along with crispy appetizers.
Lastly, the beverage menu featured some common beer options and some light and refreshing drinks to wash down the savoury goodness.
