Bbokki Joa Korean Restaurant Miri
The servers were polite and welcoming and the counter was neatly arranged for orders.
The café also had cute geometric fabric art on the walls.
For Banchan, I got three small kimchi dishes- the classic cabbage kimchi, radish kimchi and plain cabbage kimchi.
The main dish was the army stew, served hot on a portable stove.
It came with spam, fish cakes, boiled eggs and cheese, making it warm and filling.
I also ordered Tteok-Kkochi which were spicy and sweet rice cakes on skewers.
Alongside that was a plate of chives fried rice which was very flavorful with bits of vegetables and Korean pancakes which had golden crisp edges and soft insides.
I also ordered a bowl of soup with veggie broth and noodles along with kimchi fried rice.
The Rose Tteokbokki has a creamy pink sauce with rice cakes, eggs and other toppings.
Another bowl of kimchi soup came with vegetables and enoki mushrooms.
There were also mini Korean pancakes, bite-sized and crispy served with chili sauce.
