Sushi Zanmai Miri Times Square (Menu)

Sushi Zanmai is a Japanese restaurant in Miri Time Square.

Operating Hours: Monday to Thursday 11 am–9 pm, Friday to Sunday 11 am–10 pm

Sushi Zanmai Miri Times Square

There, I started with Chawanmushi which was a warm egg custard with mushroom served in a small cup, perfect as an appetizer.

Along with that, there was green tea.

Boiled Edamame

To munch on beside the appetizers, I got Boiled Edamame served with a sprinkle of salt.

Shikuwasa Fruit Soda

Another drink caught my eye, clear on top brown on bottom- the Shikuwasa Fruit Soda. It was refreshing and fizzy.

Salmon Sashimi

The Salmon Sashimi was beautifully sliced and plated. Each piece looked fresh and orange with white marbling.

Grilled Salmon Head

The Grilled Salmon Head came with a lemon wedge. It looked crispy with smokey charred edges.

Ebi Tempura

Next was Ebi Tempura, served golden and crisp.

Shishamo Fried

The Shishamo Fried had small fried fishes served with chili oil.

Seafood Okonomiyaki

The Seafood Okonomiyaki was packed with toppings. It had light flakes on top.

Fried Salmon Skin

The Fried Salmon Skin was thin, crispy and golden on the outside.

Gyuniko Salad Maki

The Gyuniko Salad Maki had beef and veggies rolled together with spring onion on top.

Stamina Roll

Next was Stamina Roll which had cucumber in it topped with roasted eel.

Shiki No Salmon

Shiki No Salmon had a beautiful presentation that looked bright and nicely arranged.

This plate had a mix of Sushi. Each piece was topped with spicy mayo or greens.

Mentaiko Zanmai

The next plate was Mentaiko Zanmai, finished with sauce and looked very tasty.

Chuka Chinmi

Last was the Chuka Chinmi which was a seasoned scallop dish which looked glossy and topped with sesame seeds.

The specials menu included Shikino Salmon, Crispy California, Enoki Avocado, Unagi Onsen-Chahan, Cheesy Spider and Golden Salmon rolls.

The drinks menu had a lot of fruity and citrussy options like Aojiro Drinks, Fruit Sodas, Iced Teas, Sangriya Soda and other options.

The Appetizer had a range of choices like Salmon Roe, Hiyayakko, Natto, Gyuniku Tataki etc. perfect as small bites.

House specialty

The House specialty included many sushi rolls. What caught my eye was the Volcano Roll.

The Sushi Moriawase menu had numerous sushi platters- great for tasting and sharing various sushi.

The Nigiri Sushi page featured the classic toppings on rice like Salmon, Prawn, Tamago, Ebi.

Gunkan and Inari sushi

The Gunkan and Inari sushi had many creative toppings from Chuka Chinmi to Crab.

The Makimono section included rolled sushi in many toppings including cream cheese and beef.

Temaki hand rolls and Yakimono menu was very extensive offering a variety with meat, chicken and other protein options.

The Agemono and Tempura section had all the classic deep fried choices- good for a crispy bite.

Donburi

The Donburi and Noodle menu offered meals in bowls with various noodle, meat, broth and toppings. Great for a heartwarming meal.

Lastly, the dessert menu included various ice cream, wafer, mochi and chocolate options to top all that savory goodness.
